Bag Books is the only organisation in the world publishing multi-sensory books specifically for people with learning disabilities. Each year we reach around 19,000 children and adults throughout the UK with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD) or severely affected by Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Our main activities are:

• the design and production of a range of multi-sensory books. We make around 1,000 books each year in our craft workshop and each one takes an average of 8 hours to construct.
• providing specialist multi-sensory storytellers. Each year around 5,000 people with learning disabilities take part in one of our storytelling sessions.
• training others (parents, carers, librarians and teachers) in multi-sensory storytelling technique. Each year we train around 500 people.
