Now out of print, this is a spiral bound photocopy of the original 28pp guide.

Nicola Grove and Keith Park

A manual which uses the original text to enable people with limited language skills to enjoy the rhythm and sound of the words, and to engage them in the underlying themes and meanings. The play is divided into nine episodes each of which is a complete activity. First published in 1999.

Carolyn Fyfe

A manual which uses the original text, together with activities, to unfold the story. "For pupils whose language is good, it may help their appreciation of the book, but no matter whether the words themselves mean anything, text expressively read will always communication something to the pupils." First published in 2001.

A spiral bound 32pp guide.

Suitable for people with Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD), but with some adaptions could form basis of work for people with Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD) or Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).

Our Training Pack consists of a DVD and 10 copies of our Training Notes.

The DVD consists of a short introductory film about the multi-sensory books and the charity plus five complete storytelling sessions (55 minutes in total) located in a school and an adult day centre.

The accompanying Training Notes are a 16-page full colour booklet giving details of how multi-sensory books work, related academic research and practical tips drawn from 20 years of experience. The booklet also draws attention to the key reactions to note in the storytelling sessions on the DVD.

A day of mutli-sensory Storytelling from one of our team of ten Storyteller/Trainers based across the UK.

A typical day would consist of 45 minute multi-sensory Storytelling sessions (three stories per session) to five groups of 6-8 participants. Stories will be selected to match the age and ability level of the participants. We can do more sessions by negotiation - we managed to fit in ten (shorter) sessions on one occasion!

The price includes a round-trip for the Storyteller/Trainer of up to 100 miles. Any additional mileage will be chargeable at 38p per mile and accommodation (if necessary) at cost.

A day of multi-sensory Training and Storytelling from one of our team of ten Storyteller/Trainers based across the UK.
